Professor Sun Ge, director of the laboratory, is also the director of the Science Popularization Committee of the Chinese paleontology society. He has organized and presided over the national geological and paleontological science popularization conferences in Chongqing （2016），Sanya （2018） and Chongzhou（2018），which has promoted the in-depth development of the National Geological and paleontological science popularization work.
