On December 30, the 2019 Annual Scientific Committee meeting of the Key Laboratory of Northeast Asia Biological Evolution and Environment of the Ministry of Education was held in the lecture Hall, 3rd Floor, Research Center of Paleontology and Stratigraphy, Chaoyang Campus. Chen Yujiang, deputy director of the scientific research platform in the Department of Science and Technology of Jilin University, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Zhu Maoyan, deputy director of the academic Committee of the laboratory, presided over the meeting.
　　More than 30 participants, including 10 members of the academic committee, leaders and guests from nanjing Institute of Geology and Paleontology, Shenyang Normal University, Northeast University, Sun Yat-sen University and Jilin University, attended the meeting. Professor Sun Ge, director of the laboratory, made a welcome speech, and Professor Sun Yuewu, deputy director of the laboratory, made an annual work report and a report on the five-year development plan of the key laboratory.Prof. Zhu Hong, Prof. Wang Pujun, Prof. Shan Xuanlong, Prof. Jin Liyong, Prof. Cui Yinqiu, Prof. Yang Debin and Prof. Meng Qingtao respectively introduced the research progress and important achievements of each research direction in 2019.
　　Members of the academic committee had a heated discussion on the development and construction of the laboratory. While fully recognizing the achievements made by the laboratory, they also put forward the existing problems and deficiencies, so as to make Suggestions for better meeting the 2020 annual evaluation. Everyone agrees that liberal arts laboratory cross layout has distinguishing feature very much, in the next year to assess and attention should be paid to the research direction in the future construction and the characteristics of concise, national demand oriented, further intersection between disciplines, pay attention to talent introduction and cultivation of talents, attaches great importance to the output and achievements propaganda, under the leadership and support of the school, further for the school discipline construction and make greater contribution to the development of northeast Asia study.
